ATA is a London-based architectural and construction consultancy founded by James Abel and James Titchner. With over 30 years of combined experience, our leadership blends architectural expertise with senior contractor-side delivery. Architectural Services

We provide a full architectural service across all RIBA stages. From feasibility and planning applications through to detailed design and construction, our work combines design sensitivity with robust technical delivery. Services include 3D visualisation, planning and listed building support, and acting as Principal Designer under CDM and Building Safety legislation. Every project is handled with care, producing clear information, thoughtful solutions and well-coordinated outcomes that support smooth delivery on site.
Contractor and Client-Side Support

We offer specialist support to contractors, project managers and clients across pre-construction and delivery. Our services include developing and reviewing tender documentation, employer’s requirements and contractor’s proposals, coordinating consultants, and ensuring planning and regulatory compliance. By resolving risks early and providing buildable, reliable information, we help reduce uncertainty, strengthen bids and deliver projects with confidence.
Construction Management

We can act as Construction Manager, directly managing trade contractors on behalf of the client under a Construction Management contract. This role involves procuring, coordinating and overseeing works packages, while providing cost transparency, flexibility and programme acceleration. Our construction knowledge, coupled with architectural and technical expertise, ensures quality, safety and compliance are maintained from mobilisation through to completion.
